Corsair Carbide Air 540 Case Unboxing & & Introduction

The Corsair Carbide Air 540 is concentrated on cooling and efficiency, however it in fact wound up looking terrific too. In spite of the plastic bezel style, this is among the very best looking cases I believe Corsair’s ever made.

  1. Can anyone tell me if you can put a DVD drive in that case?
Are those slots on the front big enough to support one?

I like the design that one has of having the power supply and drives in a different section, but so many cases these days don't have support for DVD drives, which is very annoying.

  2. Still rocking this case. Great for easy (and I do mean easy) building and airflow, not so great on noise, or dust prevention.
I also, have never been able to remove the 2.5 drive cage, mine seems stuck in.
I'm changing the case this year and this Chonky Boi Carbide has served me well.

  3. I love this case, have had it for over 6 years. Just wish there was places where I can get replacement components — a lot of the tabs and such have broken over the years.
